Welcome to Greg Wall’s Campaign Website
Welcome to my election web site. My name is Greg Wall and I am running for Kitsap Superior Court Judge Position Number 1, which will become vacant on Judge Leonard Costello’s retirement this year. I want to share with you my qualifications and reasons for running.
I have been a practicing trial attorney for 30 years. I believe that my experience, knowledge, and judgment will be valuable as a Superior Court Judge, and thereby allow me to improve my community and make a positive difference in the quality of justice provided by the court. The Superior Court quietly affects our lives every day, much more than most people realize. It is important that judges be experienced and capable; and they must possess good judgment. The respect and approval of the local attorneys is one way to measure these qualities. The list of endorsements you will find on this site includes the Kitsap County Prosecuting Attorney, and shows the type of support I am receiving.
I am in my thirtieth year of being a lawyer. I have tried hundreds of cases before judges and juries and argued appeals in the Washington Court of Appeals, the U.S. Court of Appeals, and the Alaska and Washington State Supreme Courts. I am the only candidate who has argued before the United States Supreme Court. I am the only candidate who has tried cases in the Superior Courts of twelve counties and the U.S. District Courts in Seattle and Tacoma. A more extensive list of my work can be found in the biography page on this site.
I have been a Kitsap County resident since 1978. My wife, Shirley, and I raised our three sons in this community. Through the years, we have volunteered in a variety of community organizations. I have served on school district committees, chaired Friends of SK Parks, chaired the Parks for Kids levy, and was a Boy Scout leader. I am a Bronze sponsor of the South Kitsap Relay for Life. My participation in the South Kitsap community has earned me the endorsement of citizens from all walks of life.
I believe that my long and varied experience as a trial attorney has prepared me to be a good judge. A judge must have a depth of experience and be able to make tough decisions. As a Superior Court Judge, I will conduct trials and apply the law in a way that is fair to all parties. I will be respectful of people’s different points of view, while always being mindful of the public’s safety.
I hope this site helps you decide to vote for me on August 19, 2008. Thank you for taking the time to become an informed voter.
